Mexico holding The US hostage with Illegal Tariffs until ‘Pilot Program’ and ‘Safety Issues’ goes through with Mexican Truck Drivers

Mexico holding The US hostage with Illegal Tariffs until ‘Pilot Program’ and ‘Safety Issues’ goes through with Mexican Truck Drivers

Just a few months before the U.S. is scheduled to reopen its border to Mexican long-haul truckers, a report has surfaced that indicates a large majority of trucks heading northbound into El Paso from Mexico have reportable defects.
According to a report by Fox News Latino, Texas Department of Public Safety inspectors found just over 1 million violations on about 1.2 million trucks inspected between 2007 and 2011 at the Bridge of Americas and the Zaragoza International Bridge.
However, many of those violations are likely multiple defects on single units, not the total number of trucks with problems.  And the report doesn’t say how many of those trucks belonged to American-based carriers that were returning stateside. As well, the majority of problems with equipment and drivers appears to be minor or clerical in nature.
The three-year pilot program sets up a vetting and enforcement program to ensure the safety of Mexican trucks, with the goal of evaluating their safety performance, based on inspections at the roadside, ports of entry and weigh stations, and on traffic enforcement. Hazardous materials and passenger carriers are not included in the program.
It’s the newest version of a story that has been going on since the United States and Mexico signed the North American Free Trade Agreement in 1994. In past versions the administration in office, Democrat or Republican, diligently looked for ways to implement the cross-border trucking provision of NAFTA while the Teamsters union, OOIDA, safety advocacy groups and environmental groups just as diligently looked for ways to scuttle the plan.
What’s different this time is that Mexico has upped the ante by levying retaliatory tariffs on 99 U.S. products. That tactic, which is costing more than $2 billion a year, has brought U.S. food producers and their congressional representatives into the fight.
Food producers such as Kraft Foods, Campbell Soup and Tysons Food are on record in support of FMCSA’s pilot program, and they have support from a number of congressmen who say that the tariffs have led to the loss of tens of thousands of jobs as well as more than $4 billion in business losses.
Under the agreement, Mexico will start to phase out the tariffs when the program begins.
Only 31,519 trucks and 625 drivers were placed out of service (OOS) as a result of these inspections.
Mexican trucks entering the United States are restricted to a narrow 20-mile border zone. That changes in a few months when the Obama administration relaunches a cross-border program which allows carriers to haul across the U.S. if they comply with strict safety conditions.
Critics of the program are using the latest report to advance their complaints.
“This report confirms what we have been saying for years – Mexican trucking companies and their fleets are not held to the same stringent safety standards as American carriers,” the Teamsters’ Jim Hoffa told Fox News Latino. More From Today\’s Trucking

The Muslim Brotherhood in America since the 1950′s

The Muslim Brotherhood began its penetration of the United States in the 1950s. In 1953, Princeton University hosted a group of “prominent Muslims” for an “Islamic Colloquium.” Brotherhood delegates asked for and were granted a meeting with President Dwight D. Eisenhower, who agreed on the counsel of his defense and intelligence advisors, who saw it as an opportunity for the U.S. to influence the Muslim world and to use them against the Communists, who were on the ascendancy.
One of the delegates at the meeting was the “Honorable Saeed Ramahdan, Delegate of the Muslim Brothers,” as described in the official White House documents. A now-declassified CIA document recording the events of the meeting described Ramadan as follows: “Ramadan seems to be a Fascist, interested in the grouping of individuals for power. He did not display many ideas except for those of the Brotherhood.”
Setting down roots
As the Muslim Brothers “settled” in North America, they did so according to their stated bylaws. The MB’s bylaws, and specifically the approved “means” to achieve the Ikhwan’s objectives in America, include this mandate: “Make every effort for the establishment of educational, social, economic, and scientific institutions and the establishment of mosques, schools, clinics, shelters, clubs.
Through these means, the Muslim Brotherhood would wage civilization jihad in North America.
FBI: Penetration by radical agents worse than thought
Infiltration of the federal government by members of the radical Muslim Brotherhood is worse than some have warned recently, says a former FBI special agent in Washington.
The agent confirmed that at least three operatives of the Egypt-based Brotherhood – whose credo is “Jihad is our way and death in the cause of Allah is our dream” – have penetrated the Obama administration.
The shocking charge was first leveled by Muslim reformer Tarek Fatah during a recent speech in Toronto.
“When someone says that there is penetration of jihadi Islamists within society, do not dismiss it as some right-wing, xenophobic, racist rant,” warned Fatah, a Canadian journalist.

“Today in the White House, there are three members of the Muslim Brotherhood that influence Obama’s policy,” he told the audience gathered for an IdeaCity conference. “One is Rashad Hassan, who is the American ambassador to the 52-nation Organization of Islamic (Conference).”

President Obama Announces Special Envoy to the Organization of the Islamic Conference

WASHINGTON – Today, President Obama appointed Rashad Hussain to serve as his Special Envoy to the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC). Comprised of over 50 member states, the OIC is the second largest inter-governmental organization in the world. As Special Envoy to the OIC, Rashad Hussain will deepen and expand the partnerships that the United States has pursued with Muslims around the world since President Obama’s speech in Cairo last June.
President Obama said, “I’m proud to announce today that I am appointing my Special Envoy to the OIC—Rashad Hussain. As an accomplished lawyer and a close and trusted member of my White House staff, Rashad has played a key role in developing the partnerships I called for in Cairo. And as a hafiz of the Qur’an, he is a respected member of the American Muslim community, and I thank him for carrying forward this important work.”
Rashad Hussain
Rashad Hussain is presently Deputy Associate Counsel to President Obama. His work at the White House focuses on national security, new media, and science and technology issues. Mr. Hussain has also worked with the National Security Staff in pursuing the New Beginning that President Obama outlined in his June 2009 address in Cairo, Egypt. Mr. Hussain previously served as a Trial Attorney at the U.S. Department of Justice.
Equally alarming, the Brotherhood also has placed several operatives and sympathizers within key positions in Homeland Security and the U.S. military, notes Guandolo, a former Marine Corps officer.

“It’s Free, Swipe Your EBT!”

“It’s Free, Swipe Your EBT!

Looking at Newsone.com, I came across this hilarious story about a rap ‘song’ that extols the virtues of swiping your EBT:
A new video called “It’s Free Swipe Yo EBT” video is angering many African Americans across the web.
The video, first spotted on Power107.5.com, showcases a woman rapping about how proud she is of being on government assistance, while cursing up a storm.
As of 2006, 39 percent of Black people were on food stamps. Unfortunately, 2011 numbers are unavailable but John Derbyshirenotes:
As soon as you start to look at the numbers, though, you come up against the race issue. Here are the 2007-08 TANF tables—that’s Temporary Assistance for Needy Families, a federal program—broken up by state and race. So for example, in the state of Maryland, which is 30 percent black, 80 percent of TANF-receiving families are black.
It’s the same with food stamps, which nowadays come under SNAP—that’s the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program. The New York Times published a neat interactive graphic on SNAP usage a couple of years ago. The accompanying article tells us:
Nearly 12 percent of Americans receive aid—28 percent of blacks, 15 percent of Latinos and 8 percent of whites….Half of Americans receive food stamps, at least briefly, by the time they turn 20. Among black children, the figure was 90 percent.
Knowing that more than 50 percent of births in America are to non-whites now (first time ever), it is important that we understand the non-whites having these children are dependent on the state (i.e. taxpayers) for fitting the bill for feeding their progeny:
In fact, a shocking 49 percent of all babies born in the U.S. are born to families receiving food supplements from the WIC program, according to Jean Daniel, spokesperson for the USDA.
This video is Black-Run America (BRA) perfectly encapsulated by the fitting moniker, “It’s free, swipe your EBT!” In many major cities, upwards to 50 percent or more of Black people are on EBT cards. This doesn’t include the free lunches (and sometimes breakfast) that predominately Black school districts receive. Detroit will now offer all students free lunches so as to eliminate the stigma that receiving a free lunch might present to Black kids whose parents – more than likely – also live off TANF/Welfare, EBT cards, and Section 8 Housing:
All Detroit Public Schools students will receive free breakfast, lunch and snacks in an effort to remove the stigma of being from a low-income family.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture program chose Michigan as one of three states to participate in the pilot program. Charter schools and districts in Michigan can participate if at least 40% of students are eligible for public assistance.

“One of the primary goals of this program is to eliminate the stigma that students feel when they get a free lunch, as opposed to paying cash,” said DPS Chief Operating Officer Mark Schrupp. “Some students would skip important meals to avoid being identified as low-income. Now, all students will walk through a lunch line and not have to pay. Low-income students will not be easily identifiable and will be less likely to skip meals.”
I’ve read on a number of Black entertainment Web sites where they express horror at the song “Swipe Your EBT,” but I highly doubt such criticism of their fellow Black people is anything to get excited about, considering that 90 percent of Black people will be on EBT/Food Stamps at some point in their lives.
We move inexorably closer to the Day the EBT Cards Run OutThe angry Black mothers in Clayton County, Georiga (whose EBT cards were good for nothing upon being swiped) show that the mentality of “It’s Free, Swipe Your EBT” is easily replaced with “My kid’s ain’t eat since this morning!”
Every problem in America comes down to race; it always has and it always will.
